Old beads - new look
Necklace old Bonda glassbeads & charm from Rajasthan
These necklaces are handmade by the craftswomen from Beads for Life (Nepal). They are made with re-used glass beads from jewellery originally worn by Bonda women. The Bonda tribes live in the hills of Odisha, India. The women only wear a loincloth. Their torsos and heads are covered in strings of colourful beads.
The old charms are from Rajasthan, India. They depict Hindu deities and were worn for protection.
The necklaces are 80 cm long and vary in colour. If you have a preference for a colour, please let us know so in the ‘your comments’ field before proceeding to the checkout.
A display card of handmade paper is delivered with the jewellery.
