The red beads in this necklace have been made from glass paste in Nepal for generations. In Nepal, the color red is associated with prosperity and happiness. That is why red is prominent in all kinds of festivities, especially at weddings. The wire wound end closes with a coin, an old Indian rupee.
The necklaces are made in family workshops in India and are about 48 cm in size.
