Bronze seed beads, like in this necklace, are often worn by tribes from the north and east of India. Due to their religious believes, they do not make objects of bronze themselfs. This work is done by the low caste Hindu metal workers. The beads are made and strung together with glass beads in small family owned workshops. The strands come together in the neck in a wire-wound end that closes with an old rupee coin.
The necklace are 45 cm an available in black, green, red and blue.
