Years back Nimdiki Sherpa - head of the first Montessori school in Nepal - started an employment project: Beads for Life. She trained women to make colourful jewellery. With her vision ‘Independency is Empowerment’ Nimdiki helped many women improve their economic situation. The skilled artisans of Beads for Life make many of our jewellery. You can recognise them by their distinctive macrame work.
